HADITH OF MAYMUNA (R.A) WHERE PROPHET (P.B.U.H) SAID LABBAYK & NUSIRTU.

Maymuna bint Harith, the blessed wife of Prophet (Peace be upon her) narrates: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) was doing Wudhu for Tahajjud Salaah at the home of Hazrat Maimuna (radi Allahu anha). He suddenly called out three times, “Labbaik, Labbaik, Labbaik!” (Here I am) and “Nusirtu, Nusirtu, Nusirtu!” (I helped you). Hadhrat Maimuna (Radhi Allaho anha) further asked him why he had called out those words”. He replied: “Raajiz (a sahabi from far) was calling me because Quraish wanted to kill him”

CRITICISM :-

1) CHAIN OF THE HADEET IS NOT AUTHENTIC.

2) THIS HADEET IS AGAINST TEACHINGS OF QURAN.

3) THIS HADEET IS AGAINST AUTHENTIC HADEET.

4) THIS HADEET IS AGAINST AUTHENTIC UNDERSTANDINGS OF SAHABA.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

1) CHAIN OF THE HADEET IS NOT AUTHENTIC :-

HAFIDH TABARANI HIMSELF SAID :-

No one has narrated this from Ja`far except Muhammad ibn Nadlah ,Yahyaa ibn Sulaimaan was (also) alone in narrating it, and it is not narrated from Maimoonah (radiyallaahu `anhaa) except with this Chain.”

People who are trying to Authenticate this Athar say that the hadeeth should be Mutawir for creed but here we can see they are taking Khabar al Wahid .

IMAM HAYTHAMI SAID :-

Narrated by Tabrani in Sagheer and Al Kabeer, It has Yahyaa ibn Sulaimaan ibn Nadlah who is a weak”

(MAJMA AL ZAWAID HADITH NO.10232 VOLUME 6 PAGE 160)

IBNE HIBBAN SAID :-

Makes mistake and Iham

(THIQQAT VOLUME 9 PAGE 269)

IBNE HAJAR SAID :-

Ibne Khiraash Said he is Insignificance (Baseless).

(LEESAN UL MEEZAN VOLUME 8 PAGE 450 NO. 8471)

IBN ADI SAID :-

“he narrated reports from Mâlik and the Madinans, most of which are valid.”

(AL-KAMIL 7/255 NO 2156)

So we can not take Creed from the Narrator who is weak and makes mistakes and Iham.

SECOND NARRATOR MUHAMMAD BIN NADLA :-

SHEIKH SHUA’YB AL ARNAUT SAID :-

Commenting on a different hadith he said that Chain is Weak and he could not find a biography of Muhammad bin Nadhla.

(TEHQEEQ OF SHARH MUSHKIL AL ATHAR VOLUME 14 PAGE 391 NO 5701)

2) THIS HADEET IS AGAINST TEACHINGS OF QURAN :-

If ye invoke them, they will not listen to your call, and if they were to listen, they cannot answer your (prayer). On the Day of Judgment they will reject your “Partnership”. and none, (O man!) can tell thee (the Truth) like the One Who is acquainted with all things.

(SURAH FATIR 35 VERSE 14)

QURTUBEE COMMENTRY :-

If you Call them for help in hard situations then they can not hear you because they are Jamadaat, they can not see nor hear.then he said..This is Possible that this ayah is for Angels,Jinn, Prophets and Satan they will Reject What have you done and also THEY (the Prophets, jinn and angels will reject that they) told them to worship them, Like EESA ALEH SALAM will say It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say).

And whatever of blessings and good things you have, it is from Allah. Then, when harm touches you, unto Him you cry aloud for help.

(SURAH AN NAHL 16 VERSE 53)

IBNE KHATIR COMMENTED :-

Meaning because you know that none has the power to remove that harm except for Him, so when you are harmed, you turn to ask Him for help and beg Him for aid

JALALAYN COMMENTARY SAYS :-

Whatever grace you have, it is from ALLAH, none but He brings it (mā, ‘whatever’, is either a conditional or relative [particle]). Then when misfortune, poverty or illness, befalls you, to Him you cry for help, [to Him] you raise your voices with pleas for help and supplications, and you do not call upon any other than Him.

3) THIS HADEET IS AGAINST AUTHENTIC HADEET :-

Narrated Jubair bin Mut`im:

A woman came to the Prophet who ordered her to return to him again. She said, “What if I came and did not find you?” as if she wanted to say, “If I found you dead?” The Prophet said, “If you should not find me, go to Abu Bakr.”

SAHIH BUKHARI (Vol. 5, Book 57, Hadith 11)
SAHIH BUKHARI (Vol. 9, Book 89, Hadith 327)
SAHIH BUKHARI (Vol. 9, Book 92, Hadith 459)

Muhammad b. Jubair b. Mut’im reported on the authority of his father that a woman asked Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) about something but lit, told her to come to him on some other occasion, whereupon she said:What in your opinion (should I do) if I come to you but do not find you, and it seemed as if she meant that he might die. Thereupon he said: If you do not find me, then come to Abu Bakr. This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Jubair b. Mut’im through another chain of transmitters (and the words are) that a woman came to Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) and discussed with him something and he gave a command as we find in the above-mentioned narration.

SAHIH MUSLIM (Book 31, Hadith 5878)

NOTE :-

This is beautiful hadeeth against Asking help from Prophet peace be upon him after his death; because if asking help from him after his(peace be upon him) death prescribed then the wordings of hadeeth Should be, “If you should not find me, Come to my grave and ask me or ask me from where ever you want.”, But this is not the case here and Prophet peace be upon him was not shy to tell us the truth about Islam. He completed his Mission and told us about complete way of life.

4) THIS HADEET IS AGAINST AUTHENTIC UNDERSTANDINGS OF SAHABA :-

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Apostle sent a Sariya of ten men as spies under the leadership of `Asim bin Thabit al-Ansari, the grandfather of `Asim bin `Umar Al-Khattab. They proceeded till they reached Hadaa, a place between ‘Usfan, and Mecca, and their news reached a branch of the tribe of Hudhail called Bani Lihyan. About two-hundred men, who were all archers, hurried to follow their tracks till they found the place where they had eaten dates they had brought with them from Medina. They said, “These are the dates of Yathrib (i.e. Medina), “and continued following their tracks When `Asim and his companions saw their pursuers, they went up a high place and the infidels circled them. The infidels said to them, “Come down and surrender, and we promise and guarantee you that we will not kill any one of you” `Asim bin Thabit; the leader of the Sariya said, “By Allah! I will not come down to be under the protection of infidels. O Allah! Convey our news to Your Prophet(P.B.U.H). ………………………………….

SAHIH BUKHARI (Vol. 4, Book 52, Hadith 281)
SAHIH BUKHARI (Vol. 5, Book 59, Hadith 325)
SAHIH BUKHARI (Vol. 5, Book 59, Hadith 412)

NOTE :-

Its clear the sahaba asked help from ALLAH that is O Allah inform our Prophet, Why cant they call like O Prophet or O Ali or O Wali etc , help us , so and so,They believed only Allah can hear from far away and can help from anywhere but not Prophet peace be upon him and any other wali, and Prophet peace be upon him is not watching them nor he is with them(that is creed of omnipresence of Prophet(Hadir nadir).

CONCLUSION :-

ABOVE HADEET IS WEAK,IT IS AGAINST QURAN AND AUTHENTIC HADEET.
