THE COMMANDS MENTIONED IN QURAN AND SUNNAH TO FOLLOW THE LAWS OF ALLAH SWT AND HIS MESSENGER :-

The commands mentioned in the Qur’aan and Sunnah to follow the laws of Allaah and His Messenger, and the prohibitions on introducing innovations into the religion are quite clear.

Or have they partners with Allaah (false gods) who have instituted for them a religion which Allaah has not allowed…?”

(SURAH AS-SHOORA 42 VERSE 21)

“Then We have put you (O Muhammad) on a plain way of (Our) commandment. So follow that, and follow not the desires of those who know not. Verily, they can avail you nothing against Allaah (if He wants to puish you). Verily, the zaalimoon (wrongdoers) are awliyaa’ (protectors, helpers, etc.) to one another, but Allaah is the Wali (Protector, Helper) of the muttaqoon (pious).”

(SURAH AL-JAATHIYAH 45 VERSE 18-19)

“Follow what has been sent down unto you from your Lord, and follow not any awliyaa’ (protectors, helpers, etc.) besides Him. Little do you remember!”

(SURAH AL-ARAAF 7 VERSE 3)

“Say (O Muhammad to mankind): ‘If you (really) love Allaah, then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur’aan and the Sunnah), Allaah will love you and forgive you your sins’”

(SURAH Al-IMRAN 3:31)

There is indeed the best example for you to follow in the Messenger of Allah (Mohamed saws), for every such person who looks forward to Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much.

(SURAH AL AHZAB 33 VERSE 21)

Narrated `Abdullah: The best talk (speech) is Allah’s Book ‘Qur’an, and the best way is the way of Muhammad, and the worst matters are the heresies (those new things which are introduced into the religion); and whatever you have been promised will surely come to pass, and you cannot escape (it).

SAHIH BUKHARI (Volume 9:: Book 92:: Hadith 382)

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “All my followers will enter Paradise except those who refuse.” They said, “O Allah’s Apostle! Who will refuse?” He said, “Whoever obeys mewill enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses (to enter it).

SAHIH BUKHARI (Volume 9:: Book 92:: Hadith 384)

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (P.B.U.H) said, “Leave me as I leave you for the people who were before you were ruined because of their questions and their differences over their prophets. So, if I forbid you to do something, then keep away from it. And if I order you to do something, then do of it as much as you can.”

SAHIH BUKHARI (Volume 9::Book #92, Hadith #391)

Yahya related to me from Malik that he heard that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “I have left two matters with you. As long as you HOLD to them, you will not go the wrong way. They are the Book of Allah and the SUNNA of His Prophet.”

MUWATTA MALIK (Book #46, Hadith #46.1.3)

That basically means that anybody who looks forward to Allah and the Last Day should try to follow the example of the Prophet Mohamed (saws). The command is good for only people who fear Allah and the Last Day…. and not for someone who does not fear Allah and the Last Day.If we claim to believe in Allah and the Last Day, then we must try and do everything the Prophet (saws) did, and stay away from everything that the Prophet (saws) stayed away from, as that could not be part of religion or a wholesome Islamic life, as Allah clearly states in the above verse of Al Ahzab verse 31…. The Prophet (saws) is the best example for us to follow .So the first question we have to pose before we do anything is, Did the Prophet (saws) approve of this act or not? If he (saws) did it or approved of it, do it without hesitation, if he (saws) did not, then avoid it to the best of your capability. If you follow Allah and His Messenger (saws), you will NEVER EVER go wrong…. Never!!!! Ever!!!!!!!! If you go against Allah and His Messenger (saws), it might seem that you have a short term gain, but in the long run, it will always turn into a disaster.

2) BIRTHDAYS ARE CELEBRATED TO MARK THE COMPLETION OF ANOTHER YEAR IN ONE’S LIFE :-

Birthdays are celebrated to mark the completion of another year in one’s life. Now just ponder, what wisdom is there in celebrating and showing happiness when a year has decreased in one’s life.?????Every moment of this worldly life is very valuable. Here we have to earn for the long and everlasting life of the Hereafter

Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas’ud

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “On the Day of Resurrection the feet of the son of Adam will not move away till he is questioned about five matters: on what he spent his life, in doing what he made his youth pass away; whence he acquired his property, on what he spent it, and what he did regarding what he knew.”

SUNAN TIRMIDHI (HADEET 5197)

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The world is a prison-house for a believer and paradise for a non-believer.

SAHIH MUSLIM (Book #042, Hadith #7058)

“A person who is concerned with replying to these questions, how can he show happiness for the decrease in the remaining years of his life?

3) WASTING UNNECESSARY MONEY ON BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION :-

Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful.

(SURAH AL ISRA 17 VERSE 27)

And waste not by extravagance. Verily, He likes not Al-Musrifun (those who waste by extravagance)

(SURAH AN-ANAAM 6 VERSE 141)

4) RULING ON IF SOMEONE IS INVITED FOR BIRTHDAY PARTY? :-

If a person is invited to a meal and he/she knows or thinks it most likely that it is a celebration of the birthday of one of the people, then it is not prescribed for him to attend, because his attending is approval of the evil deed and helping in it.

“Help you one another in Al Birr and At Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment”

(SURAH AL-MAAIDAH 5 VERSE 2)

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: He who called (people) to righteousness, there would be reward (assured) for him like the rewards of those who adhered to it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who called (people) to error, he shall have to carry (the burden) of its sin, like those who committed it, without their sins being diminished in any respect.

SAHIH MUSLIM (Book #034, Hadith #6470).
