IS PROPHET (P.B.U.H) ALIVE IN HIS GRAVE?

IS PROPHET (P.B.U.H) ALIVE IN HIS GRAVE?

All praises are for Allah alone. our intention does not mean to disrespect, we would like to clarify an important ruling which many muslims find difficult to act upon. The faith of a Muslim is not complete unless he loves Prophet Muhammed (p.b.u.h).Loving the Prophet more than any of the creation of Allah is mandatory on every Muslim. Love of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cannot be completed and true unless we obey his commands and adhere to his Sunnah. Loving him cannot be completed unless we reject, refute and criticize which has not been reported authentically from the Prophet Muhammed (p.b.u.h).

And whatever the Messenger has given you take; and what he has forbidden you – refrain from. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.

(SURAH AL-HASHR 59 VERSE 7)

To defend the honor of our beloved Prophet and His blessed teachings, we are presenting detailed study and investigation on a subject which has caused a division among the Muslims even though the proofs are crystal clear. There are websites on internet which uses fabricated and weak reports to support their understanding and creed. They even twists the authentic reports to suit their lies. They declare anyone who go against their lies as “wahabis” forgetting that we are adhering to the creed of Prophet and sahabis.

We are not promoting or supporting any group here but trying to enlighten the ummah with the authentic teachings of this blessed Deen of Allaah. It is on you to decide after reading the proofs what is truth and what is falsehood.

One of the excellent Attributes of Allah Subhanahu wa taa’la is that He Alone is the Ever-Living (Al Hayy). Every creation on the face of this earth will perish one day.

Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish.

And the Face of your Lord Dhul-Jalal wal-Ikram will remain forever.

(SURAH AR-RAHMAN VERSE 26-27)

And call not, besides Allah, on another god. There is no god but He. Everything (that exists) will perish except His own Face. To Him belongs the Command, and to Him will ye (all) be brought back.

1) DID PROPHET MUHAMMED (P.B.U.H) FACE DEATH ?

The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is the best and most perfect of creation, and the most beloved to Allaah and the most honoured by Him. But this does not mean that his human characteristics are to be denied, or that any of the duties of worship which are due only to Allaah should be directed to him. The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was a human being who suffered from sickness and real death.

Verily, you will die, and verily, they (too) will die.

(SURAH AZ-ZUMAR 39 VERSE 30)

Muhammad is no more than a Messenger, and indeed Messengers have passed away before him. If he dies or is killed, will you then turn back on your heels And he who turns back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allah; and Allah will reward the grateful.

(SURAH AL-IMRAN 3 VERSE 144)

Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is moved away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception

(SURAH AL-IMRAN 3 VERSE 185)

Say: “Verily, my Salah, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of all that exists.

(SURAH AN-ANAAM 6 VERSE 162)

And We granted not to any human being immortality before you; then if you die, would they live forever)

Everyone is going to taste death, and We shall test you with evil and with good by way of trial. And to Us you will be returned.

(SURAH AL-ANBIYA 21 VERSE 34-35)

Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish.

And the Face of your Lord Dhul-Jalal wal-Ikram will remain forever.

(SURAH AR-RAHMAN VERSE 26-27)

Every soul will taste death. Then to Us will you be returned.

(SURAH AL-ANKABUT 29 VERSE 57)

Narrated `Aisha:

Abu Bakr came riding his horse from his dwelling place in As-Sunh. He got down from it, entered the Mosque and did not speak with anybody till he came to me and went direct to the Prophet, who was covered with a marked blanket. Abu Bakr uncovered his face. He knelt down and kissed him and then started weeping and said, “My father and my mother be sacrificed for you, O Allah’s Prophet! Allah will not combine two deaths on you. You have died the death which was written for you.” Narrated Abu Salama from Ibn `Abbas : Abu Bakr came out and `Umar , was addressing the people, and Abu Bakr told him to sit down but `Umar refused. Abu Bakr again told him to sit down but `Umar again refused. Then Abu Bakr recited the Tashah-hud (i.e. none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah’s Apostle) and the people attended to Abu Bakr and left `Umar. Abu Bakr said, “Amma ba’du, whoever amongst you worshipped Muhammad, then Muhammad is dead, but whoever worshipped Allah, Allah is alive and will never die. Allah said: ‘Muhammad is no more than an Apostle and indeed (many) Apostles have passed away before him ..(up to the) grateful.’ ” (3.144) (The narrator added, “By Allah, it was as if the people never knew that Allah had revealed this verse before till Abu Bakr recited it and then whoever heard it, started reciting it.”)

Narrated Anas:

When the ailment of the Prophet got aggravated, he became unconscious whereupon Fatima said, “Oh, how distressed my father is!” He said, “Your father will have no more distress after today.” When he expired, she said, “O Father! Who has responded to the call of the Lord Who has invited him! O Father, whose dwelling place is the Garden of Paradise (i.e. Al-Firdaus)! O Father! We convey this news (of your death) to Gabriel.” When he was buried, Fatima said, “O Anas! Do you feel pleased to throw earth over Allah’s Apostle?”

SAHIH BUKHARI (Vol. 5, Book 59, Hadith 739)

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) died when he was sixty-three years old, and so was the case with Abu Bakr, and so was the case with Umar who was also sixty-three (when he died).

SAHIH MUSLIM (Book 30, Hadith 5796)

Jabir reported that he heard Mu’awiya say in his address that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) died at the age of sixty-three, so was the case with Abu Bakr and ‘Umar, and I (am now) sixty-three.

SAHIH MUSLIM (Book 30, Hadith 5804)

Narrated `Aisha:

The Prophet died while he was between my chest and chin, so I never dislike the death agony for anyone after the Prophet.

SAHIH BUKHARI (Vol. 5, Book 59, Hadith 726)

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, died on Monday and was buried on Tuesday and people prayed over him individually with no one leading them. Some people said that he would be buried near the mimbar, and others said that he would be buried in al-Baqi. Abu Bakr as-Siddiq came and said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, ‘No prophet was ever buried except in the place where he died.’ “So a grave was dug for him there. When he was about to be washed they wished to take off his shirt but they heard a voice saying “Don’t take off his shirt,” so they did not take off his shirt and he was washed with it on, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

MUWATTA MALIK (Book 16, Hadith 27)

It was narrated from ‘Aishah that:

Fatimah sent word to Abu Bakr asking for her inheritance from the Prophet, from his charity and what was left of the Khumus of Khaibar. Abu Bakar said: “The Messenger of Allah said: ‘We are not inherited from.”‘ (Sahih)

SUNAN NASEEI (Vol. 5, Book 2, Hadith 4146)

COMMENT :-

Faatimah (may Allaah be pleased with her) asked Abu Bakr (may Allaah be pleased with him) for her inheritance from her father (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) because she was convinced that he had died, and no one among the Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them) differed with her concerning that.

TASHAHUD OF SAHABA (MAY ALLAH SWT BE PLEASED WITH THEM) AFTER THE DEATH OF PROPHET MUHAMMED (P.B.U.H)

Narrated Ibn Mas`ud:

Allah’s Apostle taught me the Tashah-hud as he taught me a Sura from the Qur’an, while my hand was between his hands. (Tashah-hud was) all the best compliments and the prayers and the good things are for Allah. Peace and Allah’s Mercy and Blessings be on you, O Prophet! Peace be on us and on the pious slaves of Allah, I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and I also testify that Muhammad is Allah’s slave and His Apostle. (We used to recite this in the prayer) during the lifetime of the Prophet , but when he had died, we used to say, “Peace be on the Prophet.”

SAHIH BUKHARI (Vol. 8, Book 74, Hadith 281)

IBNE HAJAR ASQALANI SAID :-

This addition shows clearly that they(the companions) used to say ‘Peace be on you, O Prophet’, addressing him directly during his life, but when the Prophet (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) died, they stopped addressing him and mentioned him in the third person instead, saying ‘Peace be on the Prophet’.” He also says in a different place, “Subki said in Sharh al-Minhaaj, after mentioning this narration from Abu `Awaanah only, ‘If this is authentically-reported from the Companions, it proves that after his time, it is not compulsory to address the Prophet (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) directly in the greeting of peace, so one says: Peace be on the Prophet.’ (Ibn Hajar continues:) This is authentic without doubt (i.e. because it is established in Sahih al-Bukhaari ), and I have also found strong support for it:- `Abdur Razzaaq said: Ibn Juraij informed me: `Ataa’ informed me that the Companions used to say ‘Peace be on you, O Prophet’ while the Prophet (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) was alive, but after he died, they would say ‘Peace be on the Prophet’, and this is a saheeh isnaad.

(FATH UL BARI 2/314 UNDER THE HADEET 831)

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say the tashahhud saying, “In the name of Allah. Greetings belong to Allah. Prayers belong to Allah. Pure actions belong to Allah. Peace be on the Prophet and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be on us and on the slaves of Allah who are salihun. I testify that there is no god except Allah. I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.”

“Bismillah, at-tahiyatu lillah, as-salawatu lillah, az-zakiyatu lillah. As-salamu ala’n-nabiyyi wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. As-salamu alayna wa ala ibadi’llahi’s-salihin. Shahidtu an la ilaha illallah. Shahidtu anna Muhammadu’r-rasulu’llah.”

He used to say this after the first two rakas and he would make supplication with whatever seemed fit to him when the tashahhud was completed. When he sat at the end of the prayer, he did the tashahhud in a similar manner, except that after the tashahhud he made supplication with whatever seemed fit to him. When he had completed the tashahhud and intended to say the taslim, he said, “Peace be on the Prophet and His mercy and blessings. Peace be upon us and on the slaves of Allah who are salihun.”He then said, “Peace be upon you” to his right, and would return the greeting to the imam, and if anyone said “Peace be upon you” from his left he would return the greeting to him.

MUWATTA MALIK (Book 3, Number 3.14.57)

NOTE :-

Both are Correct (As-salaamu ‘alayka ayyhu’l-nabiyyu) And (As-salaamu`Alan-Nabiyyu) because both are proven from Sahaba.

WILL THE SAHABAS (R.A) WHO ARE WALIS OF WALIS,THE GREATEST OF AWLIYAS AND THE BEST OF MUSLIMS LIVE FOREVER UNTIL THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT? DID THEY FACE DEATH ?

Narrated AbuHurayrah

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “My people live from sixty to seventy years, and very few live longer.”

SUNAN TIRMIDHI (HADITH 5279)

CONCLUSION :-

From the above verses,Authentic hadith it is clear that ALLAH (SWT) has made it apparent that the Prophet (peace be upon him) will die (Arabic word used in the Quran verse is Maut) and also that Abu Bakr (RA) “Al Siddique” has called him dead (Maut), in front of hundreds of thousands of Sahabas . Do we love and respect the Prophet (peace be upon him) more than him/them? (Definitely Not). The Sahaabah agreed unanimously to choose a khaleefah for the Muslims to succeed the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and that was done with the appointment of Abu Bakr (may Allaah be pleased with him) as khaleefah. If the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) had been alive in a worldly sense, they would not have done that. So this indicates that there was consensus among them that he had indeed died.

2) SUFIS DALEEL THAT PROPHET MUHAMMED IS ALIVE IN GRAVE,AS HE (P.B.U.H) WAS ALIVE IN DUNIYA :-

And say not of those who are slain (martyred) in the way of Allah, “they are dead”, nay, they are living, though you perceive it not”

(SURAH AL-BAQARAH 2 VERSE 154)

Think not of those as dead who are killed in the way of Allah. Nay, they are alive, with their Lord, and they have provision.

They rejoice in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty and rejoice for the sake of those who have not yet joined them, but are left behind (not yet martyred) that on them no fear shall come, nor shall they grieve.

They rejoice in a grace and a bounty from Allah, and that Allah will not waste the reward of the believers.

(SURAH AL-IMRAN 3 VERSE 169-171)

RESPONSE :-

It has been narrated on the authority of Masruq Who said:We asked ‘Abdullah about the Qur’anic verse:” Think not of those who are slain in Allah’s way as dead. Nay, they are alive, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord..” (3.VERSE 169). He said: We asked the meaning of the verse (from the Holy Prophet) who said: The souls, of the martyrs live in the bodies of green birds who have their nests in chandeliers hung from the throne of the Almighty. They eat the fruits of Paradise from wherever they like and then nestle in these chandeliers. Once their Lord cast a glance at them and said: Do ye want anything? They said: What more shall we desire? We eat the fruit of Paradise from wherever we like. Their Lord asked them the same question thrice. When they saw that they will continue to be asked and not left (without answering the question). they said: O Lord, we wish that Thou mayest return our souls to our bodies so that we may be slain in Thy way once again. When He (Allah) saw that they had no need, they were left (to their joy in heaven).

SAHIH MUSLIM (Book 20, Hadith 4651)
(IBN KHATEER UNDER THE COMMENTARY OF SURAH IMRAN 3 VERSE 169)

COMMENT :-

IF THEY ARE ALIVE LIKE US THEN WHY THOSE MARTYR SAID TO LORD TO RETURN THEIR SOULS TO THEIR BODIES,SO THAT THEY MAYBE SLAIN ONCE AGAIN.??

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah

Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) met me and said, “How is it, Jabir, that I see you downcast?” I replied, “My father has died a martyr, leaving children and a debt.” He asked, “Shall I not give you good news of what Allah has caused your father to meet?” And when I replied, “Certainly, Messenger of Allah,” he said, “Allah has never spoken to anyone but from behind a veil, but He brought your father to life and spoke to him face to face saying, ‘My servant, if you express a wish to Me I shall grant it.’ He replied, ‘O my Lord, my wish is that Thou shouldest grant me life and let me be killed for Thy sake a second time.’ But the Lord, Who is Blessed and Exalted, said, ‘I have already said that they will not return.'” Then came down,”You must not consider those who have been killed in Allah’s cause to be dead.

SUNAN TIRMIDHI (HADITH 6237)
(IBN KHATEER UNDER THE COMMENTARY OF SURAH IMRAN 3 VERSE 169)

COMMENT :-

IF MARTYR ARE ALIVE LIKE US THEN WHY JABIR FATHER WISHED THAT LORD SHOULD GRANT HIM SECOND LIFE,TO BE SLAIN SECOND TIME ?

It has been narrated on the authority of Anas b. Malik that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:” Nobody who dies and has something good for him with Allah will (ever like to) return to this world even though he were offered the whole world and all that is in its (as an inducement), except the martyr who desires to return and be killed in the world for the (great) merit of martyrdom that he has seen.

SAHIH MUSLIM (Book 20, Hadith 4634)
(IBN KHATEER UNDER THE COMMENTARY OF SURAH IMRAN 3 VERSE 169)

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: When your brethren were smitten at the battle of UHUD, Allah put their spirits in the crops of green birds which go down to the rivers of Paradise, eat its fruit and nestle in lamps of gold in the shade of the Throne. Then when they experienced the sweetness of their food, drink and rest, they asked: Who will tell our brethren about us that we are alive in Paradise provided with provision, in order that they might not be disinterested in jihad and recoil in war? Allah Most High said: I shall tell them about you; so Allah sent down; “And do not consider those who have been killed in Allah’s path.” till the end of the verse.

So send a great deal of salah upon me on this day, for your salah will be presented to me.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H), how will our salah be presented to you when you have decomposed (after death)?” He said: “Allah (SWT), the Mighty and Sublime, has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the prophets, peace be upon them.”

SUNAN NASEEI (Vol. 2, Book 4, Hadith 1375)

Narrated Aws ibn Aws: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Among the most excellent of your days is Friday; on it adam was created, on it he died, on it the last trumpet will be blown, and on it the shout will be made, so invoke more blessings on me that day, for your blessings will be submitted to me. The people asked: Apostle of Allah, how can it be that our blessings will be submitted to you while your body is decayed? He replied: Allah, the Exalted, has prohibited the earth from consuming the bodies of Prophets.

I was asked about things pertaining to Bait-ul-Maqdis which I could not preserve (in my mind). I was very much vexed, so vexed as I had never been before. Then Allah raised it (Bait-ul-Maqdis) before my eyes. I looked towards it, and I gave them the information about whatever they questioned me I also saw myself among the group of apostles. I saw Moses (P.B.U.H) saying prayer and found him to be a well-built man as if he was a man of the tribe of Shanu’a. I saw Jesus son of Mary (P.B.U.H) offering prayer, of all of men he had the closest resemblance with ‘Urwa b. Masu’d al-Thaqafi. I saw Ibrahim (P.B.U.H) offering prayer; he had the closest resemblance with your companion (the Prophet himself) amongst people. When the time of prayer came I led them. Umar ibn al-Khattab brought to Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) a copy of the Torah and said: ‘Allah’s Messenger, this is a copy of the Torah’. He (Allah’s Messenger) kept quiet and he (Umar) began to read it. The colour of the face of Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) underwent a change, whereupon Abu Bakr said: “Would that your mother mourn you, don’t you see the face of Allah’s Messenger?’ Umar saw the face of Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) and said: ‘I seek refuge with Allah from the wrath of Allah and the wrath of His Messenger. We are well pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion, and with Muhammad as Prophet’. Whereupon Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) said : ‘By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad, even if Moses were to appear before you and you were to follow him, leaving me aside, you would certainly stray into error; for if (Moses) were alive (now) and he found my prophetical ministry, he would have definitely followed me’.

I passed by a brother of mine from ﴿the tribe of﴾ Qurayzah, so he wrote some comprehensive statements from the Tawrah for me, should I read them to you’ The face of Allah’s Messenger changed ﴿with anger﴾. So I said to him, `Don’t you see the face of Allah’s Messenger” `Umar said, `We are pleased with Allah as our Lord, Islam as our religion, and Muhammad as our Messenger.’ So the anger of the Prophet subsided, and he said, By the One in Whose Hand is Muhammad’s soul, if Musa appeared among you and you were to follow him, abandoning me, then you would have strayed. The fact that the chain is deemed to be authentic or hasan does not necessarily mean that the same applies to the text, because it may be shaadhdh (odd) or mu’allal (faulty).

(IKTISAAR ULOOM AL-HADEET PAGE 43)

AL-HAAFIZ IBN AL-SALAAH SAID :-

When they say “This hadeeth has a saheeh isnaad or a hasan isnaad” instead of “this is a saheeh hadeeth or a hasan hadeeth”, that is because it may be said that this hadeeth has a saheeh isnaad but it is not saheeh per se because it is shaadhdh (odd) or mu’allal (faulty).

(MUQADDIMAH FI ULOOM AL-HADEET PAGE 23)

AL-IRAQI HIMSELF SAID :-

The ruling that the isnaad is saheeh or hasan does not necessarily apply to the text.

(AL-TABSIRAH WA’L-TADHKIRAH 1/107)

2) CRITIQUE ON CHAIN :-

SCHOLAR SAYING REGARDING ABOVE CHAIN.

HAFIZ AL-BAZZAR HIMSELF SAID AFTER QUOTING THE HADEET

وهذا الحديث آخره لا نعلمه يروى عن عبد الله إلا من هذا الوجه بهذا الإسناد.

“We don’t know the end of this Hadeeth to have been narrated from ‘Abdullah except from this angle through this specific chain of narration”.

IBNE KHATIR SAID :-

Hafiz Ibne Kathir endorsed the wordings of Hafiz al-Bazzar.

(AL BIDAYA WAL NIHAYA 5/275)

NOTE :-

These people need mutwatir hadeeth to prove their false creed, above hadith is weak leave a side mutwatir.

HAFIZ AL IRAQEE,SHAYKH OF HAYTHAMEE SAID :-

Men are men of Saheeh, except that Abdel Majeed ibn Abi Ruwad although Muslim narrated from him, and Ibn ma’een and Nassai declared him thiqqah, other declared him weak.

(TAKHREEEJ AL IHYA 4/128)

SHAYKH ZUBAIR ALI ZAI SAID :-

This chain is weak because of three reasons

1- Sufiyan at-Thawri is Mudallis and this narration is from (AN).

2- Abdel Majeed ibn Abi Ruwad is Mudallis and this narration is from (AN) see al Fath-ul Mubeen fe tahqeeq Tabqaat ul Mudalliseen 3/82.

3- Abdel Majeed is Weak according to Majority see al Fath ul Mubeen fe tahqeeq Tabqaat ul Mudalliseen page 55 and Tohfa tul Aqwiya fe tahqeeq Duafa al Bukhari page 242.

(TAHQEEQ OF FADAL SALAT AN NABI BY IMAM ISMAEEL BIN ISHAQ AL QADHI PAGE 69)

3) CRITIQUE ON TEXT :-

SHAYKH ALBANI SAID :-

The first part : ” Allah has (appointed) angels wandering on earth, they bring me the salam of my Ummah” has been transmitted by Nassai ( 1/189) from many asaneed from Sufyan Thawree from Abdallah ibn Saib, and from Al A’mash in Mu’jam Kabeer of Tabaranee ( 3/81/2) , Akhbar Asbahan of Abu Nu’aym ( 2/205) and Ibn Asakir ( 9/189/2)

Shaykh Albani said : ” The agreement of a Jama’at of thiqah on this narration from Sufyan without mention of end of hadeeth ” My life.. and A’mash following him in that shows for me the Shuzooz of this addition ( meaning the addition is shaadh), because Abdel Majeed ibn Abdel Azeez is alone in reporting it, and how not when he his mutakalam fihi ( talked about) because of his memory, despite his being from narrators of Muslim, a Jama’at has declared him thiqqah, and other have declared him weak, and some mention reason ( of weakening).

KHALILI SAID :-

He is Thiqqah, but he makes mistakes in Ahadeeth”

IMAM NASEEI SAID :-

He is not Qawee, his hadeeth are written”

IBN ABDIL BARR SAID :-

He narrated from Malik Ahadeeth in which he made mistakes”

IBN HIBBAN SAID :-

Munkarul Hadeeth Jidan, he mixes akhbar, he narrates manakeer from famous ( people), and he deserves to be abandoned” I say : this is why Hafiz said in Taqreeb : ” Sadooq he makes mistakes.

(AL MAJROOHIN 2/152)

There is another Mursal narration on this issue, Mursal is the type of weak hadith

SOURCE OF THE MURSAL NARRATION :-

Mursal narration is not evidence (from Sahaba to majority of the Muhadditheen)

4) THIS NARRATION IS AGAINST AUTHENTIC HADEET :-

Narrated by Ibn Al-Musaiyab: The companions of the Prophet said, “Some men from my companions will come to my Lake-Fount and they will be driven away from it, and I will say, ‘O Lord, my companions!’ It will be said, ‘You have no knowledge of what they innovated after you left: And I(Prophet Muhammad) would then also say: Be away

COMMENT :-

HE P.B.U.H SAID HE DON’T HAVE KNOWLEDGE AFTER HE DIED.SO HOW COME DEED ARE PRESENTED TO HIM ????

5) FATWAS OF HANAFI SCHOLAR :-

“If a man did nikah without any witnesses and he said ‘I make Allah and his Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) my witnesses,’ or he says “I make Allah’s Messenger my witness,’ or he says “I make Allah and his angels my witnesses,’ then such an individual will become a kafir. If he says I make the angels on my right and left sides (Kiraman Katibin) as my witnesses then he will not be a kafir

(FATAWA ALAMGEERI VOLUME 2 PAGE 412)

IBN NUJAUM (KNOWS AS ABU HANIFA THANI) SAID :-

If a man did nikah by saying ‘I make Allah and his Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) my witnesses, then Nikah will not take place and he did kufr because his creed is that Prophet peace be upon him knows the unseen.

(AL BHR RAQAIA 5/120)

IMAM QADHI KHAN AL-HANAFI SAID :-

He (peace be upon him) did not know knowledge of unseen when he was alive, how can he know knowledge of unseen after his death?

(FATWAA QAZI KHAN,KITAB AS SEYAR 4/468,FATWA AL-HINDIYAH 2/226,BAZZAZIYAH 6/325,AL BHR RAQAIQ 3/88,5/120)

Hanafi Scholars are clear If one says I make the angels on my right and left sides (Kiraman Katibin) as my witnesses then he will not be a kafir because both of these angels are present. And who ever says Prophet peace be upon him is my witness in Nikah then he is not a Muslim because he thinks that Prophet peace be upon him knows the unseen even after his blessed death. So how come our deeds are presented to prophet muhammed p.b.u.h,even if those sufis considered above hadeet to be saheeh.??

______________________________________________________________________________________________

Narrated Abu Hurayra I heard the Prophet say: “By the one in Whose hand is Abu al-Qasim’s soul, `Isa ibn Maryam shall descend as a just and wise ruler. He shall destroy the cross, slay the swine, eradicate discord and grudges, and money shall be offered to him but he will not accept it. “THEN HE SHALL STAND AT MY GRAVESIDE AND SAY: YA MUHAMMAD! AND I WILL ANSWER HIM”

MUSNAD ABU YALA (VOLUME 11 PAGE 462)

RESPONSE :-

THIS WILL BE UPDATED SOON IN SHA ALLAH IN NEXT SEPARATE TOPIC.

Sa’eed bin Abdul Aziz (rah) narrates: During the incident of Al-Harra, there was no Adhaan or Iqamah proclaimed from Masjid an Nabi (Peace be upon him) for “3 Days” Saeed bin Musayb (rah) stayed in the Mosque, “HE USED TO FIND OUT ABOUT TIME OF PRAYER BY THE WHISPERING VOICE WHICH HE HEARD FROM INSIDE THE GRAVE OF PROPHET (PEACE BE UPON HIM)

SUNAN DARIMI (Volume No.1, Page No. 44, Hadith # 94)

RESPONSE :-

This narration is mursal because Saeed bin A.Aziz was not born at the time of Incident of Al-Harra.According to history books Incident of Hurrah took place at 60 Hijri ,and Saeed bin a.aziz was born in 90 hijri.

IMAM AD DAHABI SAID :-

Saeed bin A.Aziz born in 90 hijri.

(SIYAR UL ALUM AN NUBULA 32/8)

So it Means He was born after 30 years when this incident of Al-Harra happened ,and it is also possible he might have heard it from some other person but did not mentioned his name which results that this narration is Mursal. And it is also possible he might have heard it from Saeed bin Musaib as He (Saeed Bin A.Aziz) was born in 90 Hijri as mentioned above and Saeed bin Musaib died at 93 hijri which means Saeed bin abdul aziz was 3 years old.

IMAM AD DAHABI SAID :-

Narrates Abu Naeem from Ali Bin Madani Saeed Bin Musaid died 93 Hijri.

(SIYAR UL ALUM AN NUBULA 246/4)

NOTE :-

Now its clear that it is not possible that Saeed bin A.Aziz has heard this narration from Saeed bin Musaib.

3) PROPHET MUHAMMED (P.B.U.H) IS ALIVE IN BARKAZHI LIFE :-

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is alive in his grave in the sense of the life of al-barzakh, so he enjoys the blessings that Allaah has prepared for him as a reward for his great good actions that he did in this world. But the life in the grave is not like the life of this world, or the life in the Hereafter. Rather it is the life of al-barzakh which comes in between his life in this world and his life in the Hereafter. Hence we know that he died as other Prophets and other people before him died.

SEE WHAT SUFIS SAYS NAZUBILLAH

AHMAD RAZA KHAN BARELVI SAID :-

“The life of the noble Prophets (may Salah and Salam be upon them) is real and physical similar to the life of this world (Haqiqi Hisi Dunyawi), and death touched them for a little moment just to fulfil the divine promise, then just after they are given the same life.

(MALFUZAT VOLUME 1 PAGE 276)

RESPONSE :-

A’isha reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) during his last illness) inquired:Where I would be tomorrow, where I would be tomorrow (thinking, that the turn of ‘A’isha was not very near) and when it was my turn, Allah called him to his Heavenly Home and his head was between my neck and chest.

SAHIH MUSLIM (Book 31, Hadith 5985)

IBNE QAYYIM SAID :-

Finally the body is buried and soul returns to between the body and the shroud. This return does not imply the same connection that the soul had to the body in this world. it is not even the the same connection which it had in the sleeping state nor the connection which it has when it is in its resting place. this return is a special return for the questioning as we have already clarified.

(KITAB AL RUH PAGE 17 ENGLISH TRANSLATION)

IMAM AD DAHABI SAID :-

He (peace be upon him) is alive in his grave like the life in Al Barzakh.

IBNE HAJAR ASQALANI SAID :-

“The context shows that it was in end of life of the Prophet (saw), as for Tawdi’ (saying goodbye) to the dead, it is possible that the Sahabi meant stopping his visit of dead people with his body, because after his death, although he is alive (after death), but it is next life (Hayat Ukhraviyah) which has no similarity with life of Duniyah. Allah knows best”

IMAM BAIHAQI SAID :-

Souls of Prophets are alive with their lord like Martyrs.

(HIYAT UL ANBIYA LIL BAIHAQI PAGE 21)

SHAYKH UTHAYMEEN SAID :-

Another thing we learn from the verse is that the martyrs are alive, but it is the life of al-barzakh which is nothing like life in this world, rather it is better and greater, but we do not know how it is.

(TAFSEER SURAH AL-BAQARAH 2/176-177)

SUFIS SCHOLAR SAYINGS :-

Prophets are given a particular and distinguished life that is more distinguished than the life of Martyrs, and the life of martyrs is more distinguished than the life of Awliya, but these lives are different from life of this world (Duniyah) because the consequences (lawazim) of the life of this world (Duniyah) is not found in them

(KIFAYATUL MUFTI VOLUME 1 PAGE 77)

NEYLWI SAID :-

“Hudhur (saw) departed after completing his age, and considering his departure with death is correct, in Quran there is: “If he dies or is killed” and “And you will die and they will die”. The meaning of being created from Allah’s light is not correct for anybody to mean that his Bashariyat (being a human) with its consequences and others, was created from Nur (light), and nor his life meant that natural death cannot happen to him, that he is alive now as he was alive before, this saying is clear falsehood (Sarih Butlan). Allah knows best”

(NIDA E HAQQ VOLUME 1 PAGE 664)

GHULAMULLAH KHAN DEOBAND SAID :-

And it is known from this great event that dead do not hear, because the Prophet Uzayr (aley Salam) did not feel all changes that occurred in this period, and he did not know in these 100 years the night from the day, as he did not hear in this long period any sound from sounds that happened, despite that he was not in a grave but on surface of earth…as it is known from this important event that souls of Prophets are not in their body after their death, and that there death is real, and there life in grave is Barzakhi and not Duniyawi Nasawi (life of this world)”

(JAWAHIR UL QURAN VOLUME 1 PAGE 127)

MUFTI KIFAYATULLAH DEHALWI SAID :-

The life of Prophet peace be upon him in the grave is not the life like this world rather it is a barzakhi life and it is better than the life of all the other people, likewise the life of martyrs is barzakhi but it is lower than the life of Prophets. They all are dead as far as this world is concern”.

(KIFAYAT AL MUFTI VOLUME 1 PAGE 80)

________________________________________________________________________________________________

4) CONCLUSION :-

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is alive in his grave in the sense of the life of al-barzakh, so he enjoys the blessings that Allaah has prepared for him as a reward for his great good actions that he did in this world. But the life in the grave is not like the life of this world, or the life in the Hereafter. Rather it is the life of al-barzakh which comes in between his life in this world and his life in the Hereafter. Hence we know that he died as other Prophets and other people before him died.
