Imam Saeed bin Abi Barda bin Abi Musa Ashari (may Allah have mercy on him) took out a letter written for his grandfather Abu Musa Ashari by Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). It was written in letter that if you had passed a judgement yesterday and if you rechecked it and found that your judgement wasn’t correct then if you are guided towards the correct ruling then do not stop yourself in accepting the truth because truth is apparent and it cannot be overruled. Nothing can change the truth and it is better to accept the truth rather than indulging oneself in obstinacy and disputes in following falsehood.
